Translate video to English subtitles

Add a video link or file, review the original transcript and translate its subtitles. English is preselected; you can choose another target language in the result.

English will be preselected in the result. Translation is included with any paid time pack.

Original transcription up to 5 minutes is free. Longer files use your transcription minutes.

A new audience, the same original audio

Translate video to English subtitles when your audience needs to read along in English. This workflow turns speech into timed text, then translates that text. You receive a separate subtitle file; the original voice and picture stay unchanged.

With or without source captions
Supported public links prefer available source-language captions, then use speech recognition when needed. Local files use their audio track. The video does not need existing English captions to start.
Transcription minutes, translation included
Original transcription is free up to five minutes. Longer transcription uses your time-pack minutes. Either paid pack unlocks unlimited subtitle translation without using those minutes, even after the transcription balance is spent.

How to translate video to English subtitles

  1. Add the source

Paste a public TikTok, YouTube or Instagram video link, or choose a supported file up to 50 MB. Only one source is processed at a time.

  2. Review the original transcript

Correct names and phrases before translation. The English version is based on the words you choose to send, with the existing cue times.

  3. Choose a language and translate

Open Translate subtitles near the transcript tools. English is preselected for this workflow. Start the translation and download translated or bilingual SRT/VTT, or take the text.

Before you start

Can I translate a YouTube video to English without CC?

A supported public video can use speech recognition when source-language captions are unavailable. The video and its audio still have to be accessible; translation cannot fix an unavailable source.

Can I use a video file instead of a link?

Yes. Upload an MP4, MP3, M4A or WAV within 50 MB and two hours. The file is checked before transcription. Translation follows after you review the original transcript.

Do I get English voice-over or a captioned MP4?

No. This tool delivers English text and timed subtitle files, not dubbing or a rendered video. Add the SRT or VTT as a caption track in your publishing or editing tool.

Do paid time packs include translation?

Yes. Buying either time pack unlocks unlimited subtitle translations on your account. Translation does not use transcription minutes. Short original-language transcription remains free for everyone.
