YouTube Shorts transcript
Get a YouTube Shorts transcript from a public /shorts/ link to review spoken content as text. Correct the words in place, then copy them or export a text or subtitle file.

Read a YouTube Shorts transcript at your own pace
Fast speech, names and short phrases can need a second look. Use timestamped segments to check the words against the Short before you quote or reuse them.
- A Shorts link belongs in the same input
- Use the public video's /shorts/ URL directly. You do not need to convert it to a watch URL, upload the clip or install a browser extension.
- Keep the original spoken language
- Review the returned transcript in its source language. This workflow does not translate the Short, write a summary or extract visual text from its frames.

How to get a YouTube Shorts transcript
Paste the public /shorts/ URL
Copy a single YouTube Shorts video link. Private, restricted or unavailable videos cannot be processed.
Check speech in context
Review each segment, especially names, fast phrases and background speech. Correct words without changing the existing cue timestamps.
Copy or choose an export
Copy text for notes, download TXT for a file, or use SRT and VTT for timed subtitles. Review automated output before publishing.
Only submit content you have the right to process. Review recognized words and timestamps before using or publishing the result.
Before you start
Do I need to change the /shorts/ link to a watch link?
No. Public YouTube /shorts/ video links are accepted directly. Submit one video rather than a channel or playlist. Link support does not guarantee that every video has accessible, transcribable content.
Can I get a YouTube Shorts transcript without existing captions?
Available captions are preferred, and speech recognition can be used when captions are absent. The result depends on accessible content and recognizable speech. Music-only clips or unclear speech may not yield a useful transcript.
What does the free trial include?
No signup is required for one attempt per IP address each UTC day, for a video up to five minutes. A failed attempt still uses that allowance. Signed-in users with credits use one credit per started minute, for videos up to two hours. Credit packs do not require a subscription.
How long can I reopen the result?
Anonymous results can be reopened in the original browser for 24 hours using the task link. Sign in and explicitly save the current result to add it to history. Signed-in trial results are accessible for seven days and paid results for 30 days. Download files you need before access expires; these are access limits, not a promise of immediate physical deletion.
