How do transcription minutes and translation work?
Original transcription up to five minutes is free. Longer files or videos use one credit per started minute of the full source: 30 minutes uses 30 credits, and 30 minutes 10 seconds uses 31. The $9 pack adds 600 transcription credits and the $29 pack adds 2,400, valid for 365 days without automatic renewal. Either successful purchase also unlocks unlimited subtitle translations on your account, regardless of your remaining transcription balance. Unlimited translation is not unlimited transcription: a new long recording still needs transcription minutes before its words can be translated.
What subtitle formats can I export?
Original transcripts can be downloaded as SRT subtitles, VTT web captions or plain TXT without an extra export fee. Paid accounts can also download translated or bilingual subtitles. Translation is included with either paid time pack and does not use transcription minutes.
Can I use transcripts for commercial projects?
You can use transcripts for projects when you have permission to access, process and reuse the source content. TokScript does not transfer rights in the source video to you. Review automatic text and timing before publishing or delivering it.
What is TokScript's credit policy if a video fails?
Credits are automatically returned for confirmed failed paid transcription tasks. An uncertain submission is checked before settlement. Translation does not spend transcription credits. Returned credits are not a cash refund. For billing questions, contact support through your account.
Do time packs renew automatically?
No. New time packs are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically. Previous subscriptions are no longer sold, but existing subscriptions keep their original billing terms. You can manage or cancel an existing subscription from Account Billing to stop future renewals; unused credits keep their original expiry date. Cancellation does not create a cash refund.
How long are my transcripts saved in history?
Paid transcription results are available in your history for 30 days. You can reopen them, correct words and export again within that period. A time pack's 365-day credit validity does not extend transcript access to a year. Download files you need before result access expires.
